After this week, emails will be back to Mondays. The libraries have been closed because of the holidays so we come the day after.
We started teaching this less-active kid this week that just got out or prison. He was only there for a month or two. He’s been baptized for only a year, but he went inactive right away. He is one of the funniest people I have ever met. He told me last night that I have eyes like Bella’s from Twilight. That’s a compliment I could have done without (Also, the other day, a bunch of ward members were looking at me and saying who they thought I looked like. The final consensus was a mix between Jodi Foster, Drew Barrymore, and Reese Witherspoon. I wasn’t quite sure what to say to that). He teaches us a lot about prison, which is always entertaining. His mom accepted a baptismal date this week, though, so that was exciting.
We started teaching this great girl this week that is dating a member and is friends with a bunch of members and pretty much living an LDS life, so we are excited about her. She’s pretty great.
We talked to a member’s son this week, who says he won’t read the Book of Mormon because he’s afraid he’ll find out it’s true. It would be funny if it weren’t so sad.
We spent New Year’s Eve at a less-active’s house. She loves us. When we first met her, she refused to talk to us because she hated us, so her husband was the only one who spoke in lessons, but now she tells us that she wants us to come stay with her when we visit the mission after we get home. Going to bed at 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve is the best.
So, that’s my week. I love you! Also, you have some fun things coming to you in the mail. How did you like the Christmas package? I love you!
