Customer: “And when is this reappeal form due?”

Me: “You should have it back into us soon. Probably within, like, a week or so.”

Customer: “You don’t sound too sure. I don’t want to get in trouble because you don’t know what you are talking about.”

Me: “So, when was this ticket issued? Okay, let me look at a calendar…yes…okay…yeah, you’ll need to have it back into us by this Friday.”

Customer: “That’s better. I’ll have it in by then.” [leaves]

Bebe (from across the office): “You just made that up, didn’t you?”

Me: “Yup.”
